Chef Carmen discovered her love for food at just 14 years old, cooking alongside her mother, Mamma Titina, and learning the traditional recipes and flavors of Southern Italy.

After opening her cooking school in Sorrento in 2003, Carmen dreamed of creating a place where guests could enjoy that same authentic food around the table. In 2019, La Locanda del Gusto was born: a small family-run restaurant just outside Sorrento’s historic center.
